All of Karen’s talks are relevant to this particular topic. Passion, Tenacity, Patience, Recognizing Fate, Focus all lead to confidence in your personal and professional life.
This topic; however, is about knowing when to believe in yourself. If you have trained and practiced successful strategies, there is no reason not to have confidence in your abilities.
It is MOST important to recognize your capabilities and ignore negative input. At times this can be difficult because there is always going to be someone who thinks they have a better way of doing things. It is good to listen to other’s ideas, but it is just as important to trust that, if you have done the work, you have the ability to succeed.
Karen might have never have become an aerobatic champion had she lacked confidence in her skills. She had amazing coaches and a tremendous number of hours practicing and, at some point, had to realize it was enough to go for the National trophy! As the only woman in her category, it would have been easy to believe that maybe she did not have the right stuff! But she overcame the temptation to discount herself because she knew in her heart, she had done everything she could have done to prepare.
What your team will learn:
• How practicing successful strategies will help them trust their gut!
• How to tune out discouraging input. There is always THAT person.
• How to lean to those who DO encourage them
• When they know something is right to go all in. Mediocracy will not cut it!
