Karen is a firm believer that people can accomplish infinitely more when they engage other people.
Other people can help you with a project, but they can also inspire you, help you be innovative, help keep you focused, and so much more! “People” can be anyone; friends, family, colleagues, and even people we do not know.
When Karen was in her third-year practicing for the National Aerobatic Competition everyone believed she had an excellent chance to win her category, even Karen.
One afternoon, two days before she was supposed to leave for the contest, a tragedy occurred that almost kept her from making it to the event. This story is about the people, friends and even strangers, who were not willing to let Karen miss something she had worked for most of her life.
This group of people practically carried Karen on their shoulders to the contest. For Karen, this story is one of her greatest lessons. She was in disbelief that so many people would come to her rescue.
27 years later, Karen still gets a bit emotional (In a good way) when telling this story. Her appreciation for their selflessness is still immense and inspires her to help others just like these awesome people helped her.
This is just one of many, many stories of the people who helped her succeed along the way. She is still overwhelmed with gratitude to everyone who ever stepped in to help her that difficult night.
What your team will learn:
• How to bury their pride and accept they need help
• How to let people know, let everyone know, when they need help
• How helping others can motivate them personally and professionally
• How much influence they can have on other’s success
